So its been awhile.....

Hey all just letting you know im finally back. Things in my life got out of hand for awhile, a recent house fire trashed my computer and I was working full all June so it was a rough month. Tomorrow I'm gonna get in a nice big update but for now i'll keep it short.

http://samdangames.blogspot.com/2011/03/level-4-on-pokemon-tower-defense-update.html

I talked about this game before, but sense its not a big update I feel it deserves a mention/refresh.

This games online community just continues to grow do the continues weekly updates.  Its enjoying to play a challenging flash game that actually takes some time to beat. Luckily time isn't an issue as you can save and port your profile onto and computer your using at the time. Recently they have added a trading system, as well as a pokedex, challenges/achievments that unlock you "shiny" characters, as well as the occasional online hunt for a code to a hidden shiny pokemon.

The normal tower defense mode is still the main element to the game (as seen above), however recently they have gotten creative and made modes and levels that depend on you getting by towers with your Pokemon as well. This forces you to use your "energy" wisely and makes learning defensive type moves worth it as now your Pokemon have to be balanced in order to progress.

Considering this games been updated and improved this much before he has gotten to the third gym this games potential is amazing, its already pretty fun I can't wait to see the end product.

A bit of everything...

Hey all, just want to take a moment to say thanks for all the followers and comments, you guys are awesome.
That being said lets dive right in. Today the game I am recommending you try is SOLDAT. It's kind of similar to the Worms map wise, but besides that its a 2D online shooter and isn't a very big download. (Don't worry all, its free.) While it is 2D your not really limited to taking cover in this game, its surprisingly very fast paced. This has to do with some of the items, making it possibly to fly over someone and attack, parachute towards them, and completely out skill them if used correctly. The game doesn't really have anything new that others of its type don't, but overall it is a pretty fun/fast paced time killer. Like always the link will be below the pic.

Still on the video game note apparently the Zelda prototype has been leaked/released. It has different music, differently designed zones, and even less enemies than the original game-boy version you grew up with. If your interested in playing it you can play it here http://forums.lostlevels.org/viewtopic.php?t=2471. Note how if the prototype was easier they made a conscious decision that this franchise would be better if the game itself was harder. How come we never see that happen anymore?

Also like last time I'll leave you guys a random video errr two random videos. Let me know what you think of them in the comments.

That one was more.... interesting than anything. Below is also a music related video, it however is about a new  type of speaker. I'm not gonna lie the concept interests me. Would be cool to have a surround sound system that you can move at any time and is this light/nice looking.

.....http://michelvictor.deviantart.com/art/Gloom-182063588<----One a final random note the song used in this better be used in some type of game in the future, it just has that old school game sound to me, don't know why.

Today's Timekiller

The other night I found a pretty messed up/interesting game, SYMON. You start the game off as a person paralyzed in bed, and continue most of it living out and trying to fix your broken life through a series of dreams. As you progress through your dreams you slowly start to recover some repressed memories. The game will generate new puzzles every time you play this game, making the replay value very high which is pretty uncommon in point and click flash games. It takes a little bit to get used to as the games logic is that of a dream.... not completely there.
(The link to the game is below the pics.)

And for the people with finals week starting/coming up you might be running short on time to pass in that research paper/project or whatever. If like most students you submit them through an online means (email, blackboard, or your professors site) you might need some extra time to avoid that ever approaching deadline. ( You probably do look at the name of the site your on...) To get that time go to : http://neddyy.net/docs/ and just follow the step by step guide to corrupt your file before sending it to your teacher. Not all teachers will accept this but plenty won't notice until they go to grade it, and will email you then asking for a proper version of the doc. Remeber some teachers are smarter than others and don't come crying to me if they thought it may have been done on purpose though most will give you the benefit of the doubt. The time from passing it in to when they email you for a new copy gives you some extra time to actually start and finish it. Your welcome.
(Thanks for the link wallace)

On another side note I'm also just gonna leave this here cuz it's amazing.

Flash Game

Portal was an amazing game. Portal 2 was nearly a perfect game. So when i found a flash version of it online I gave it a shot. Its a bit different as instead of being from an fps like view its a 2D puzzle solver. It still involves general portal game play from creative ways of using your surroundings to making infinite loops to gain momentum like in the pictures below.:
(The link  to the game is below the pics)

 www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/404612

Don't get me wrong, its no where near as good as the others, but if you enjoy the portal series its definitely a fun puzzler to kill some time on. And just like the others the maps will involve a series of light walls, explosive charges, and laser fields. It also uses spike-wall crushers which I thought was great way to keep certain levels very fast pace.

And speaking of the other portal games I have a question for you. How long do you think it will take until down loadable content is made for Portal 2, and is it going to be made at all? I'm hoping that if they do it will be a co-op expansion, but maybe its to early to be wondering. Let me no in the comments below.

Best Tower Defense game in a long time.

So you might have already seen pokemon tower defense, but those of you who havn't should check it out. If you grew up in the 90's, liked pokemon as a kid, or enjoy tower defence games there isn't a reason to not play this. Its easily the most original TD game I've seen in awhile, allowing you to catch your towers and level them up using xp instead of the normal grind for gold system. You do need money to lvl them up, but it won't take to long to get more than enough cash for that as its not the main priority of the game.
Its quite easy to pick up, and its made to be pretty similar to the original blue and red version for the gameboy. On top of that its updated weekly, has other game-play and challenge modes, and even has hidden events on its main site to unlock special "shiny" tower/pokemon.

Check out their site sometime http://samdangames.blogspot.com/

Diving in...

I decided to make a blog as an assistant tool for those who are looking for something fun on the internet. On it will be posts ranging from anything relatively interesting to amazing that I find online. Sometimes it may be a flash game, a random video, who knows.
